5x31 Newlyweds at Universal Studios Orlando (May 23, 2005)


This season finale episode featured four newlywed couples competing at Universal Studios Orlando. Stunt #1 (Rope snap and helicopter rope climb) Partners would be standing on opposite sides of a Plexiglas wall over a lagoon and be holding onto a rope. They would have move up and down to move the rope over a file on top of the wall in order to break the rope in half. They would then have drop into the water and swim to a pair of jet skis which would drag them to a helicopter. At the helicopter, they would both have to climb up ropes with 5 flags attached and release as many flags as possible before falling into the water. The three couples to get the most flags the fastest would advance to the next round. The other couple would be eliminated. Stunt #2 (Fear Factor Wedding Toast) Couples would have to dig their faces into a wedding cake filled with red worms, super worms, silk worms, beetles, and alligator eyeballs. They would both have to get mouthfuls of bugs and eyeballs and

5x30 N.Y. vs. L.A. (May 09, 2005)


This episode featured four contestants from New York City competing against four contestants from Los Angeles. Stunt #1 (Helicopter rappel) Going head-to-head, contestants would use a hand-break to rappel down ropes hanging from a helicopter. While rappelling, they would have to release 5 flags from a rope hanging adjacent to them and then drop into the water below. The man and the woman from each city to get the best time would advance to the next round. The others would be eliminated. Stunt #2 (Meat Locker) Paired with the other person from their city, contestants would be bound by their wrists and ankles with duct tape and locked in a frozen meat locker. Once they had worked together to free themselves, both contestants would have to dig through a barrel of lard and cow innards to find a wrench. Once they had their wrenches, they would use them to dig through an ice tunnel and retrieve keys bolted inside the tunnel. They would have to use the two keys to unlock the two loc

5x29 Best Friends #3 (May 02, 2005)


This episode featured four pairs of best friends competing as teams. Stunt #1 (Double water beam) One team member would be standing on a 12-inch wide beam high above the ground, and their partner would be standing on an 8-inch wide beam underneath. As four water jets forced water down on the lower beam, the person on that beam would have to cross it, get a crank, walk back to the farthest water jet, and clip the crank on a rope that their partner was holding. Their partner would then have to hoist the crank up and use it to turn off the water jet. They would have to repeat this process until all four jets were turned off. Stunt #1 (Water car rotisserie) Contestants would be chained into the front seat of a car as it spun in and out of the water. When the spinning started, they would have to grab a key, unlock two locks to free themselves, release a flag from the back seat, exit the car, and swim to a buoy. The two men and the two women to complete this stunt fastest would advance to the next round. The others would be eliminated. Stunt #2 (Fear Factor Sushi Bar) Contestants would have to choose two numbered plaques with disgusting sushi dishes written in Japanese on them. Sushi dishes on the menu were the maggot and Madagascar hissing cockroach roll; the maggot and rotten squid gut roll; the red worm, super worm, maggot, and earthworm roll; tarantula sushi; the stink bug, beetle, maggot, and fish sauce roll; and blended fish sauce, squid gut, and squid ink sake. 5x27 Miss USA Edition #3 (April 11, 2005)


This episode featured six Miss USA 2005 contestants competing for $50,000. The winner would keep half her money and donate the other half to the charity of her choice. Stunt #1 (Water beams) The ladies would have to work their way around a square-shaped beam structure and collect up to 10 flags before jumping into the water below. To make things harder, the beams were rigged with high-pressure water jets that would be spraying during the stunt. The four ladies to complete this stunt the fastest or get the most flags the fastest before falling would advance to the next round. The others would be eliminated. Stunt #2 (Triple Dump Tunnel) The ladies would have to fight a high pressure water hose to make their way though a Plexiglas tunnel. Stunt #1 (Semi truck rope swing) Contestants would be standing on top of a semi truck as it barreled down the highway. When a second semi with a flag-covered wall drove by, they would have to swing on a rope and grab flags from the wall. The two men and the two women to collect the most flags the fastest in two passes would advance to the next round. The others would be eliminated. Stunt #2 (Fear Factor donut shop) Contestants would have to choose 2 donuts from a display of 144 donuts. Five of the donuts were filled with jelly. The rest were either filled with worms, coagulated pig's blood, stink beetles, or rotten squid guts and ink. In addition to eating the 2 donuts, they would also have to drink a glass of curdled milk. 5x25 Fear Factor Twins #3 (March 07, 2005)


This four-stunt episode featured four sets of twins competing as teams. Stunt #1 (Helicopter to speedboat) One twin would be hanging by a harness from a helicopter while their partner would be inside the helicopter. As the helicopter flew over a buoy, the person in the helicopter would have to pull a rip cord and drop their twin into the water. When the helicopter flew over a second buoy, the second twin would also have to jump out. Both twins would have to retrieve a flag from their respective buoys and swim to an ultra boat. Once they were both on board, the boat would speed past a floating platform. Both twins would have to jump off, swim to the platform, and attach their flags. This four-stunt episode featured six former contestants from reality shows. The contestants were Omarosa (The Apprentice), Ryan Sutter (The Bachelorette), Ethan Zohn (Survivor Africa), Jenna Morasca (Survivor Amazon), Reichen Lehmkuhl (The Amazing Race), and Nikki McKibbin (American Idol). Stunt #1 (Dual heli rope crawl) Contestants would have to crawl across a rope hanging between two helicopters. As they made their way across, they would have to release up to 9 flags attached to the rope before dropping into the water below. This episode featured four duos (two pairs of best friends, a set of twins, and a dating couple) competing as teams in Las Vegas. The winning team would have to bet half their winnings on a hand of blackjack. Stunt #1 (Inverted fall and car flip) One team member would be handcuffed and hung by their ankles 120 feet in the air while their partner waited in a car on the ground. The person hanging by their ankles would have to unlock the handcuffs and pull a rip cord. When the rip cord was pulled, the person would drop to the ground head-first and a pipe ramp would be lit on fire. When the ramp was lit, the person in the car would have to have to hit the ramp and flip the car into a wall of road-block barrels. 5x22 Couples Fear Factor II (7) (February 14, 2005)


This was the final episode in a 7-part series featuring eight couples competing for various cash and prizes, and a grand prize of 1 Million Dollars. Stunt #1 (Bullfrog coffin) The women would be locked in a bamboo cage by two locks in a pit of bullfrogs. The men would have to run across a swamp and retrieve a key from a pit of scorpions, then run back across the swamp and use the key to unlock the first lock. They would then have to run back across the swamp, retrieve the second key from a pit of live rats using only their mouths, run back, and unlock the second lock. Once the woman was free, they would both have to run across the swamp and both of them would have to drink a glass of blended bullfrog and swamp water. This episode was part 6 of 7 in a series featuring eight couples competing for various cash and prizes, and a grand prize of 1 Million Dollars. Stunt #1 (Gross gorge) Couples would have to eat from Plexiglas containers containing 6 pounds, 8 ounces of disgusting food items. Among these items were octopus, lamb brain, pig snout, pig tongue, cod egg sac, cow eyeballs, sea cucumber, pig uterus, intestines, squid, scorpions, tarantulas, Madagascar hissing cockroaches, nightcrawlers, red worms, super worms, tomato horn worms, stink beetles, and other assorted bugs and animal innards. The couple that could eat the most weight in the 20 minute time limit would win a two-week trip to Belize where they would stay six days in the rain forest at Ian Anderson's Caves Branch and six days sailing the Caribbean in a luxury yacht from Mooring Signature Vacations. This episode was part 5 of 7 in a series featuring eight couples competing for various cash and prizes, and a grand prize of 1 Million Dollars. Stunt #1 (Truck jump and helicopter drop) Both members of each couple would be standing on the back of a flatbed truck as it drove along a pier. They would have to jump off the truck into the water, swim to separate buoys, and grab trapeze bars hanging from helicopters. The helicopters would lift them out of the water and fly them to another set of buoys. Upon reaching the second set of buoys, they would have to drop back into the water, collect a flag attached to their respective buoys, swim to a platform, and clip the flags on a flagpole. This episode was part 4 of 7 in a series featuring eight couples competing for various cash and prizes, and a grand prize of 1 Million Dollars. Stunt #1 (Snake and tarantula block head) Both members of the couple would be lying on the ground with their heads trapped inside a Plexiglas box. The men would have their heads locked in a box of snakes, and the women in tarantulas. They would have to push themselves along the ground to a set of screwdrivers, use rods to retrieve the screwdrivers, and use the screwdrivers to unlock the boxes. When the first person got free, they were allowed to help their partner escape. The time would stop once both people had gotten free of their respective boxes. This episode was part 3 of 7 in a series featuring eight couples competing for various cash and prizes, and a grand prize of 1 Million Dollars. Stunt #1 (Blind driver) Going two at a time, couples would race to drive a car up a ramp and onto the bed of a moving flatbed semi. The driver of the car would be blindfolded, and their partner would be in the passenger seat giving directions. The couple that could get their car onto the truck bed and run over a flag the fastest would win a seven-day all inclusive trip for two to the Grand Lido Negril Resort and Spa in Jamaica. No one would be eliminated in this stunt. This episode was part 2 of 7 in a series featuring eight couples competing for various cash and prizes, and a grand prize of 1 Million Dollars. Stunt #1 (Cow stomach toss) Going two at a time, the men would be standing on the shore of a swamp tossing cow stomachs to their girlfriends standing on floating platforms in the middle of the swamp. The women would have to catch the cow stomachs and put them into a bucket. Once all fifteen stomachs had been transfered, the women would have to swim to shore and touch a trough to stop the clock. The couple to complete this stunt in the fastest time would win $20,000 and a trip to Los Angeles to see the world premiere of the movie ""Elektra"". This episode was part 1 of 7 in a series featuring eight couples competing for various cash and prizes, and a grand prize of 1 Million Dollars. Stunt #1 (Helicopter hang) The men would be holding a rope while hanging upside-down by their ankles from a helicopter as the women waited in the chilly lake below. Going two at a time, the men would be lowered, and the women would grab the other end of the rope and be lifted out of the water. The couple that could hang the longest before someone let go of the rope would get to choose from five Capital One credit cards ranging in value from $10,000 to $50,000. 5x15 Christmas Fear Factor #3 (December 06, 2004)


This was a 3rd-annual Christmas-themed episode. Stunt #1 (Submerged living room) Contestants would be shut inside a living room, complete with furniture, a Christmas tree, and presents. The living room would be submerged underwater and contestants would have to open the gift boxes and collect the flags inside. The two men and the two women who collected the most flags the fastest before quitting would advance to the next round. The others would be eliminated. Stunt #2 (Dog attack) Contestants would have to run inside a cabin living room protected by vicious guard dogs, pick up gifts on one side of the room, and run them to boxes on the other side of the room. This episode featured four pairs of best friends competing as teams. Stunt #1 (Underwater obstacle course) Both team members would be standing on a platform over a pool One team member would have to grab a strobe light, jump into a vertical tube and swim to the bottom, swim a horizontal underwater tunnel, and clip the strobe light inside the tunnel. They would then have to return to the surface though a hole in the platform, grab another strobe light, hand it to their partner, and their partner would repeat the process. 5x13 Thanksgiving Show (November 22, 2004)


This was an extended four-stunt Thanksgiving episode. Stunt #1 (Ship net climb) Contestants would start in a dingy being dragged by a cargo net behind the Fear Factor ship (resembling the Mayflower). They would have to climb out of the dingy and climb up the cargo net, collecting six flags along the way and releasing a final flag to stop the time. The two men and the two women to complete this stunt the fastest would advance to the next round. The others would be eliminated. Stunt #2 (Thanksgiving feast) Night-crawler green beans, maggoty mashed potatoes with fish sauce gravy, bile gelatin with African cave spider topping, beetle worm and cockroach stuffing, and sheep brain pie topped with worms. Contestants would have to choose three of these five gross food items to consume within the 9-minute time limit. For each item they consumed, they would receive one hatchet to throw at a target. All the contestants on this episode were models. Stunt #1 (Helicopter swing rings) Contestants would have to swing around a circle of swing rings underneath a helicopter over a lake, releasing a flag on the final ring to stop the clock. The two men and the two women to complete this stunt the fastest or get the furthest before falling would advance to the next round. The other two would be eliminated. Stunt #2 (Bug ropes) Contestants would have to use their mouths to collect bugs from sticky ropes and transfer them to a scale. This special 100th episode was filmed in New York City. The winner would get to choose from five Capital One credit cards, ranging in value from $60,000 to $100,000. Stunt #1 (Tram traverse) Contestants would have to traverse a cargo net on the underside of the Roosevelt Island Tram as it traveled hundreds of feet over the East River. The two men and the two women who released the most flags the fastest from the cargo net before falling would advance to the next round. The others would be eliminated. This episode featured four pairs of siblings competing as teams. Stunt #1 (Spinning helicopter platform) Siblings would be handcuffed to a spinning platform swinging underneath a helicopter. They would have to pull up a rope with handcuff keys, unlock themselves, and jump into the water below. The time would stop when the second sibling hit the water. The three pairs of siblings to complete this stunt the fastest would advance to the next round. The other pair would be eliminated. Stunt #2 (Spider head) Siblings would have to stick their heads into a box full of spiders. The sibling on the left side of the box would have to pass keys by mouth to the sibling on the right side of the box. 5x09 Halloween Episode #2 (October 25, 2004)


This was a special Halloween episode. Stunt #1 (Electric beam) Contestants would have to run across a metal balance beam as an overhead generator zapped them with two-million volts of electricity. They would have to transfer metal bolts from one barrel on one end of the beam to another barrel on the other end of the beam. The four contestants who could transfer the most bolts in the one minute time limit would advance to the next round. The others would be eliminated. Stunt #2 (Witches brew) Contestants would use a crossbow to shoot flaming arrows at a scarecrow hanging from the ceiling. The number of shots each contestant took to ignite the scarecrow would represent the number of scoops of Fear Factor witch's brew (consisting of dead tarantulas, scorpions, and bug guts) they would have eat. Stunt #1: Water Paddle Contestants would be locked onto a vertical spinning wheel by one wrist and both ankles. As they were dunked repeatedly in and out of the water, they would have to unlock themselves from all the shackles, pull a release cord, and swim to a buoy to stop the clock. The two men and the two women to complete this stunt the fastest would advance to the next round. The others would be eliminated. Stunt #2: Fear Factor Bar Contestants would use a paint ball gun containing 100 exploding pellets to shoot at a display of 57 alcoholic beverage bottles. The number of unbroken bottles after the contestant had fired all the shots would represent the number of one-ounce shots of blended maggots, stink beetles, worms, and fish eyes they would have to drink. 5x07 Rolling Flag Snag; Sand Crab Panning; Suspended Car Rotisserie (October 11, 2004)


Stunt #1: Rolling Flag Snag Contestants would have to shimmy out on a horizontal pole jutting from the front of a giant dump truck and release a flag. They would then have to return to the top of the truck, release another flag, then shimmy out on a second pole and release a third flag. After releasing the last flag, contestants would have to drop off the pole to stop the time. The two men and the two women with the fastest times would advance to the next round, the others would be eliminated. Stunt #2: Sand Crab Panning Contestants would be shackled by the wrists and chained to a stake in the sand. They would have to free themselves by rolling around in the sand to unscrew the shackles. Once they were free, they would have to run into the ocean, unlock a floating box containing seven live sand crabs from a buoy, return to the shore, unlock the box, and eat the crabs. This was an all-female episode. Stunt #1 (Helicopter platform) The ladies would be chained by one wrist and both ankles to a Plexiglas platform hanging from a helicopter. As the platform rocked back and forth, they would have to unlock themselves from the chains and jump into the water below. The four ladies to complete this stunt the fastest would advance to the next round, the other two would be eliminated. Stunt #2 (Roadkill Café) The ladies would have to use a shovel to chuck stuffed animals at a target in the middle of the road. This would determine the amount the amount of maggot-covered animal organ meat they would have to eat. This episode featured four pairs of best friends competing as teams. Stunt #1 (Underwater box) One player would be locked inside a submerged Plexiglas box with an air pocket. That player would have pass handles through a hole to his or her parter outside the box. The partner on the outside would then have to screw two of the handles into a wheel, assembling a crank. Once the crank was assembled, the player on the outside would have to turn it, opening the box, and both team members would have to swim to a Fear Factor sticker on the side of the pool. Stunt #1: Jet Ski to Float Plane Contestants would start off on the pontoon below a flying seaplane over a thousand feet in the air. They would have to shimmy across a pole to the other pontoon, release a flag, then return to the first pontoon and release a second flag. The two men and the two women to complete this stunt the fastest (or release the first flag the fastest before falling) would advance to the next round, the others would be eliminated. Stunt #2: Eel Helmet Contestants would have to stick their heads in a large fishbowl-helmet occupied by moray eels with a narrow tube to breathe through. The contestants would have to unscrew eight bolts in order to cause the front plate to pop off the helmet and drain the water. The limo would be submerged underwater and the person in the driver's seat would have to wait for a red light to come on. That person would then have to swim to the back seat, retrieve a key, escape through the sunroof, and free their partner from the trunk. Both players would then have to swim to a buoy. The three couples to complete this stunt the fastest would advance to the next round; the slowest couple would be eliminated. Stunt #2 (Gross blow tube) One member of each couple would have to slurp up mouthfuls of blended fish heads, roaches, and beetles. That person would have to transfer it to their partner through a tube. The partner would catch it in their mouth and spit it into a cylinder. The couple to get most slop in their cylinder within the two minute time limit

5x02 Favorite Winners (September 06, 2004)


In this episode, six former winners returned to try and win the $50,000 a second time. Stunt #1 (Semi truck bike plank) Players would start out on top of a semi truck driving down a highway, walk to the middle of a balance beam jutting off the back, release a flag, and return to the starting point. The player would then have to get on a bike and ride it across the beam to the trailer of a second truck. The player to complete this stunt the fastest would $10,000. No one would eliminated in this stunt. Stunt #2 (Tomato horn worm juice) Two at a time, players would have to chew up mouthfuls of tomato horn worms and spit the juice into graduated cylinders. Once the cylinders were filled to a predetermined point, the players would have to drink the juice. This would be a head-to-head race. The winner of each race would advance to the next round and the loser would be eliminated. Stunt #3 (See-saw beam) Players would have to cross from one platform to the other over 100 feet in t

5x01 Couples Reunion (August 30, 2004)


In this episode, the top five couples from season four's Couples Fear Factor series returned for a rematch. Stunt #1 (Sliding floor transfer) Both members of each couple would be standing on a platform high above the ground. As the two platforms making up the floor slid further and further apart, both players would have to jump the gap, transferring flags from side to side. The couple to transfer the highest total of flags before both falling would win a pair of fully loaded 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokees. Stunt #2 (Water cage) Both members of each couple would be locked in a cage with a wall of bars separating them. The cage would be submerged underwater and both players would have to retrieve keys on their side of the cage and exchange key's with their partner through the bars. Both players would have to unlock three locks to open the cage, then swim to a buoy. The three couples to do this the fastest would advance to the next round, the other two would be eliminated.
